Where Your Donation Will Go
My Pledge:
I am currently teaching English in Saudi Arabia and saving money for this hike. By the time it starts, I will have saved plenty of money to completely fund my own hike on the Appalachian Trail (AT). This means that I will pay all of the costs out of my own pocket for my camping and hiking gear, my food, my plane tickets, and any other expenses along the way. What this means for you is that 100% of your GoFundMe donations will go directly to Friends of Thai Daughters (FTD).
At 43 years old, there are no guarantees that my body will hold up for the entire length of the trail (although an 82-year-old man completed the trail and set the age record in 2017). I will put my heart and soul into finishing every last mile, but whether I hike only 1 mile of the AT, whether I finish the entire 2,181 miles of AT, or whether it's somewhere in between, I guarantee that every last dollar that you donate will go directly to FTD to assist in providing education, support, love, and life opportunity for these girls. As little or as much as you can give, any amount is greatly appreciated.
